FAQ

Can we bring our dog(s)?

My answer will always be yes!! When my clients bring their pup, I do always recommend bringing along a friend or family member to do a little dog sitting for a portion of our shoot. While we LOVE to include our pups in our photos, they can sometimes be distracted, energetic, or unpredictable making their owners feel anxious or frustrated (definitely not what we want during our shoot!). I've learned over the years that it works best for us to get our group shots taken care of with the pups and make sure they have a good time with no pressure, then have a friend take over so we can focus on getting a few photos with the two-legged folks!

Do you have location suggestions?

I sure do! I have several favorite spots around the Hudson Valley depending on the look and style you are going for. I specialize in warm earthy tones in my images, so I love places that highlight beautiful sunsets.

Are there time limits for sessions?

I hate time limits!! The only time I will put strict time limits on my sessions is when I do mini session days (which are rare). I personally hate the feeling of knowing there's only so much time, and I would hate for my clients to feel that way too. It's too much pressure and can cause anxiety. Instead, I start all of my outdoor sessions around 90 minutes prior to sunset. We start with prompts and fun activities to get everyone comfortable, then we work with the most beautiful light of the day. Usually, we get a great number of images within an hour or so before we lose the light.

Do you have outfit suggestions?

Of course! Planning outfits, especially for a whole family, can be incredibly overwhelming. I have a style guide I love to use and will help with suggestions along the way!

“I had an amazing experience with Erin! She made us feel so comfortable and made things as easy as possible for us! It honestly didn’t even feel like we were working with a photographer but instead, a friend. We were beyond impressed with our photos. Erin has a way of capturing the essence of YOU- not just posing you for photos and telling you to smile. Beyond that, she is a lovely person, so fun to be around. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely be working with her in the future.😊”
